I will talk about each of these workshops I've completed on some of my upcoming blogs:
I've also attended "Writer's Digest" workshops
I completed "James Patterson's Master Class" on writing. (this applies to all genres)
I love books. I love writing.
Upon finishing my studies with the Institute of Children's Literature, I joined SCBWI, "Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators", and attend their Indiana conventions and retreats regularly.
It was through SCBWI that I looked for others interested in forming a critique group. This is one of the best things a beginning writer can do. I love my group and appreciate all the support they provide.
Currently, I'm concentrating on: two picture books completed and waiting to find a home, one middle-grade book in revision, two young adult novels, one in revision and one in rough draft form. My non-fiction article is in revision too.
Along with reading, writing, and meeting with other writers, networking at SCBWI conferences or other professional workshops, I'm also available to speak to school children about books and fun writing.
